ATTENTION ALLERGY CARE PATIENTS
Allergy Immunotherapy shot visits will resume June 1st 2020.
Appointments will now be required for allergy shots. Office access and waiting room occupancy will be closely monitored and regulated due to Covid-19. All patients and staff must wear masks covering the nose and mouth. Social distancing guidelines will be followed in the waiting room including distancing of at least six feet. In general patients should be unaccompanied with exceptions for young children, the disabled, and those patients requiring an aide. In these cases only one person should accompany the patient. All individuals entering the office should be without personal items such as food, beverages, newspapers, magazines, and other items not necessary for the visit.
Upon arrival to our facility patients should call and announce their presence and wait in their automobile if at all possible as wait times within the office is limited before the patient visit or allergy shot. We will not allow patients to enter the office if waiting room occupancy limits have been met. It is important that all patients be on time so all runs smoothly. Bottlenecks may occur that may necessitate additional wait times before appointments or allergy shots or rescheduling. We will do our best to provide your care while adhering to Covid-19 guidelines and rules.
After allergy shots the usual wait time in the office is required. Office staff will screen all patients for Covid-19 infection, exposure, and risk factors. If a patient is determined to be at increased rick of transmitting Covid-19 office entry will not be granted.

Due to the Covid 19 Pandemic it is unfortunately necessary to make some changes to our schedule and to the services that we are able to offer during these uncertain times in order to maximize the safety of all in proper accordance with Federal and State pronouncements while maintaining proper medical care.
^ Patient encounters in general will be handled via telehealth over the telephone.
^ We will continue to screen our patients for risk factors for Covid 19. We are not equipped to provide care for acute febrile respiratory illness. In cases such as these please call or contact your primary care physician.
^ In the meantime please be safe and practice social distancing. Wash your hands, sanitize objects and surfaces several times daily. PROCEDURE FOR ALLERGY SHOT PATIENTS:
^ When you arrive please call our office to alert us that you have arrived (413) 443-4826
^ You will be screened for illness, cough, fever, travel, and recent presence in hospital, ER, urgent care center. Also for exposure to persons who have, had, or may have a COVID illness.
^ You will be instructed when to gain entry to the office for your shot. You must come in individually unless it is necessary to be accompanied by one guardian in the case of patients below 18 yo of age or disabled. Guardians of older children (18 an older) may wait in their motor vehicles (preferred).
^ After your shot you will be directed to the waiting room for the usual waiting time adhering to the social distancing of 6-10 feet between all individuals.
^ You WILL NOT be brought in for your shot unless there is proper space in the waiting room to adhere to social distancing as required. In this instance you will need to be informed of the wait and may consider coming back at another time.
OFFICE APPOINTMENT INFORMATION:
^ Please call our office to confirm your appointment.
^ Upon your arrival to our parking lot please call us at (413) 443-4826 for waiting instructions. If the line is busy you may knock on the door for assistance. We will be asking you to wait in your vehicle instead of the waiting room. Once you alert us that you are in the parking lot we will call you when it is time to come in for your appointment.
^ Follow up appointments will be conducted via telemedicine except for certain circumstances. We will call you to evaluate what type of follow up visit suits your needs best. We ask that you call us at your scheduled appointment time and the front end will notify your provider who will then call you for your appointment. You may recieve a call from a blocked or private telephone number. Thank you for your understanding during these uncertain times.
^ At this point we will continue to see new consultations and Allergy test patients although we ask you to call upon arrival and we will call you inside from your car when we can accommodate you for your appointment.
^ Unfortunately we are not equipped to handle acute illnesses with fever and respiratory complaints other than asthma as urgent visits at this time. If you have an urgent need to be seen please call your Primary Care Physician, Urgent Care or Emergency Department. If you need to be seen and do not have a fever or acute cough please call our office and we will evaluate you for an appointment.

We ask that you follow these precautions to help reduce the transmission of Covid 19 (Corona virus)
> We ask that you reschedule your office appointment and or Allergy shots if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms for the near future.
> Elevated body temperature over 100 degrees Fahrenheit
> If you feel ill. If you feel ill even mildly please call our office prior to coming in person.
> If you experience symptoms such as these please contact your primary care provider.
> The CDC currently recommends a 14 day self quarantine period if you have been in contact with others that have been in contact with an exposed individual.
